TRANCE & RHYTHM - Anna Carewe & Oli Bott - Cello meets Vibraphone
Dances and rituals from classical music and jazz from the 14th to the 21st century. Century
Ciconia, Ortiz, Bach, Vivaldi, Messiaen, Satie, Bartok, Ligeti, Ellington, Coltrane, Jobim, Piazzolla - they were all fascinated by rituals and rhythms; a pleasure to weave these passionate compositions together.
Anna Carewe and Oli Bott play music without boundaries: Serious Music, Entertaining Music, Early Music, New Music, Compositions & Improvisations. They make the boundaries between genres and eras disappear and seduce the audience to enjoy new sounds and experience familiar sounds in a new way.
The duo has already played at festivals such as Beethovenfest Bonn and Musikfest Stuttgart and in concert halls such as Philharmonie Berlin and Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
"The contrast between the sonorous tone of the cello and the pearly lightness of the vibraphone is extremely appealing. Sometimes the harmonies come from the cello and the melodies from the vibraphone, sometimes it's the other way round - nothing is ever missing. The twelve songs of this mini-orchestra blur boundaries between genres and eras and are convincing without exception.
