The German Creative Centre for Wood offers workshops and taster sessions on designing with wood.
The courses offered by the German Creative Centre for Wood (dkholz for short) under the direction of Reinhold Büdeker focus on wood design in the broadest sense. This includes, for example, the production of toys or design objects, but also the safe handling of tools and small machines. The German Creative Centre for Wood is already unique in its diversity, because there is no comparable range of offers in Germany that offers such a comprehensive seminar and course programme all year round.
There are "Wood Design Taster Afternoons" and "Workshop Days". Individual offers are also put together for couples who want to share their creativity in designing with wood and experience an inspiring and unusual weekend. There are "Material and Tools" project seminars especially for teachers, educators and interested parents. Dates are available via the homepage or by telephone.
All year round there is also the "Open Workshop", "Children Design with Wood" and "Celebrating Children's Birthdays". In the "Open Workshop", participants work under guidance at their own choice of time. In the "Children design with wood" offer, the young artists create their own small carvings.
Reinhold Büdeker also excels in theoretical knowledge. In addition to numerous publications in specialist journals, the Nienburg native has written the specialist book "Schnitzen - Das Grundlagenbuch" (Carving - The Basics Book) together with other authors.
Furthermore, Reinhold Büdeker offers a holiday flat - the Bärenhöhle.
