Panoramic view of the city skyline

Short facts

  • Verden (Aller)

On a clear day you have a wonderful view of the Verden city skyline.

Here it is worthwhile to just let your gaze wander!

The panoramic view is probably the most beautiful view of the cathedral and equestrian city of Verden.
The Cathedral of St. Maria and Cäcilia, a landmark of the city that can be seen from afar, plays an important role in the city skyline. But the other towers of the city, such as the steeples of St. Andrew's Church, St. John's Church or the white town hall tower are characteristic of the city's silhouette.
The towers can easily be assigned to the corresponding buildings using the information boards. In addition, the origin of the name of the city of Verden is explained. Further information boards provide information about the ecological network "Natura 2000" as well as about the Allerniederung with its plants, animals and the flood. In the course of the flooding, the old Allerarm visible in the photo often spreads far over the Allerwiesen, a natural spectacle that is well worth seeing.
