The song "Ich bin die kleine Nienburgerin" was a popular folk song at the beginning of the last century. A competition was announced to mark the 950th anniversary of Nienburg. Four years later, the 1.65 meter high and four hundred pound figure was presented. (Artist: Marianne Bleeke-Ehret from Herford)
