The Verden city forest is an attractive destination for young and old.

The Verden city forest extends over an area of approx. 260 hectares northeast of the city center.

Wide, signposted main paths but also narrower side paths are ideal for those looking for relaxation for a walk.

There is a lot to discover along the main paths on the 260 hectares:
If the excursion starts from the Uhlemühlen car park, the Halsebachweg leads into the city forest on the opposite side. The Verden fountain can be visited on the right. This was once a former healing spring, but today it is mostly dried up and inedible.

On the left side of the Halsebachweg there is the possibility to explore the Verden dunes with the help of the adventure trail marked with wooden pegs. The adventure trail follows to a viewing platform, which offers a beautiful view of the dunes.
From there you can take the path "Zum Waldspielplatz" to the large playground of the same name in the middle of the city forest. A cable car, slides, a rotating carousel and more
Devices for playing invite children to run around here.
In the further course the path "To the forest playground" becomes an educational forest path that ends at the farm of the city forest. During the opening times of the "open farm" you can get to know different animals such as donkeys and goats.

The city forest also has offers for sports enthusiasts:
Whether by horse on the extensive network of bridle paths including riding and obstacle course or on foot the trim path, which is parallel to the Paradiesweg.

Arriving by car:

The Uhlemühlen car park is located on the Uhlemühlen street. From there you can reach the Verden city forest on both sides.

Arrival by bus:

Get off at the "Uhlemühlen / Verdener Brunnen" bus stop and follow the Uhlemühlen street for approx. 300 m in a south-westerly direction. Turn right into Halsebachweg or use one of the forest paths on the left. On both sides you get into the city forest.
