German Fairy Tale Route

You are on the website of the German Fairy Tale Route. Ideally you have already picked up some good suggestions for excursions and trips along this theme route.

But you have learned almost nothing about the German Fairy Tale Route itself, about the destinations, the association and the headquarters office, the members and partners. - Interested? Then read on here. Or contact us directly.
The German Fairy Tale Route was founded in 1975 by around 40 municipalities as a joint venture along a route from Hanau to Bremen. The aim was – and still is today – to jointly use the heritage of the Grimms in connection with German fairy tales, sagas and legends for successful cultural tourism marketing.
Since then, the German Fairy Tale Route has developed into one of the most famous German holiday routes and into an independent brand. Both are ultimately based on a network that spans industries and borders and is continuously maintained and expanded.
