Every five years, Kassel transforms into the world capital of contemporary art for 100 days: documenta is now arguably the largest and most important international exhibition, showcasing current works by artists from all over the world.

The tour guide will lead you to the outdoor works and objects that are firmly anchored in the cityscape and form a lasting testament to the history and present of documenta.
In addition to detailed information on artworks such as the „Pickaxe,“ the „7000 Oaks,“ or the „Man Walking to the Sky,“ you will learn many interesting facts about the world art exhibition in an entertaining way. The next documenta will once again draw hundreds of thousands of people to Kassel.
