St. Aegidien Church on the edge of the city center is one of the oldest buildings in the city and has experienced an eventful history over almost 1,000 years. Since 2019, the church and grounds have been owned by a church foundation. Since then, a small team has been working on a voluntary basis to revitalize this place spiritually, preserve it in accordance with its original purpose as a listed building and create a place of encounter. The plan is to open a "Cafédrale" (café & place of worship) every day. St. Aegidien Church on the edge of the city center is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
