Ulla Meinecke is a composer, song poet and was already a rock and pop singer when there was hardly any talk of these genres in Germany. Ulla Meinecke has been a fixture in the German music and cultural landscape for over 30 years. In her lyrics, she reflects on the mysteries of everyday life and love in her own poetic language. Her velvety voice, her poetic language and not least her thoughtful, ironic view of everyday things have established her reputation as a singer, poet and author. The lyrics of the self-proclaimed "hardcore romantic" deal with the one great theme - true love; with tender beginnings, small escapes, great dramas and strong departures.
