The German violinist Franziska Pietsch, the Turkish violist Atilla Aldemir and the Israeli cellist Hila Karni today form the international string trio based in Germany.

All three musicians come from different cultural backgrounds and are each travelling their own versatile and moving artistic path in concert life.
Three personalities full of character share their passion for chamber music, cultivating their individuality without neglecting ensemble homogeneity. This creates a unique blend of temperament, compelling joy of playing and sparkling soloistic presence.

The trio plays a broad repertoire, from classical to contemporary
works. The three musicians open the concert in Bursfelde with the Trio in C minor op. 9 No. 3, which the 26-year-old Beethoven self-confidently apostrophised as 'the best of his works': the dramatic tension, the masterly control of the instruments and the combination of the three voices into a whole make the trio a masterpiece of its genre that is still convincing today.

The second part features the trio by Gideon Klein, which the composer wrote secretly in the Theresienstadt camp in 1944, completed nine days before his deportation to Auschwitz and entrusted to a friend. The score ended up in the hands of his family after the war and was published in 1993.

The third string trio in the concerto was written by Leó Weiner and published by the Hungarian composer in 1909. At the time, he was Professor of Music Theory at the Budapest Academy of Music and was still orientated towards Romanticism during this creative period.
