The band Blue Swing Steam from Cologne brings the sound of the legendary jazz musician Django Reinhardt to Hann.

Django Reinhardt's music has always been an inspiration for us. It's not just the compositions of the forefather of gipsy jazz that have appealed to us, but also the joy of playing, the instrumentation and the folkloristic approach of this special form of swing music.

Over the years, through many joint sessions and band projects in the Cologne jazz scene, we have come together in this line-up, which offers us every opportunity to bring in our musical influences and to play them together.

Our repertoire includes well-known evergreens from the jazz-manouche genre, original compositions as well as more unusual adaptations from very different musical styles. We always set ourselves the challenge of combining the virtuoso joy of playing Gypsy Swing with loving arrangements.
