This route opens up the eastern section of the German Fairy Tale Route from Kassel, leading through the Werra-Meißner region (Mother Hulda Country) and the Eichsfeld (former Inner-German border, green Belt in the Heart of Germany). Combined with the main route section through the Reinhardswald Forest, it can also be explored as an attractive circular tour.
Due to the hilly terrain in areas such as the Kaufungen Forest, Upper Eichsfeld, Göttingen Forest, and Bramwald, this route is especially well-suited for touring e-bikes.
