Behind Hessisch Lichtenau, the path meanders past the Hoher Meißner through the tranquil Gelster Valley until it joins the Werra Cycle Path near Witzenhausen. The region around Witzenhausen is widely known for its cherries and is visited by thousands of tourists during the cherry blossom season.

From Witzenhausen, the path meanders along the Werra to Bad Sooden-Allendorf. On the way, you can see Ludwigstein Castle from Werleshausen before arriving in Bad Sooden-Allendorf.

Salt and brine have shaped the history of the town for centuries. Today, the natural power of brine is used as a remedy. Bad Soden is home to an impressive graduation house. On the other side of the Werra, old half-timbered houses line the street. From the old Werra bridge, you have a particularly beautiful view of the old fishermen's houses on the banks.

Bicycle transfer:
Selected bus routes of the Nordhessischer Verkehrsverbund (NVV) operate in Frau-Holle-Land from April 1 to October 31 with bicycle racks. This offers space for a maximum of 5 bicycles:

For group transfers, Frölich-Reisen offers two different bicycle trailers, each with space for 7 or 33 bicycles from 50 or 100 € per day plus bus costs. E-bikes can also be transported safely and without any problems.

BikeStation Eschwege offers transfers for small groups and a rental trailer for 13 bikes.
