With a little luck and the right knowledge, you can find mushrooms for tasty dishes in the autumn forest. A particularly good edible mushroom is the porcini mushroom, the goal of many mushroom pickers. Chestnuts, birch mushrooms and chanterelles enrich the menu. Siegfried Pflum, a certified mushroom consultant, will explain what you should look out for when picking mushrooms so that only edible specimens end up in your pan.
