Kick-off event as part of the "Münden reads a book" series of events

The violinist, actor and reciter Ihno Tjark Folkerts presents a cheerful evening with this title. Wilhelm Busch was much more than "just" the inventor of the comic strip or "just" the author of a world-famous picture story with rhymes about two rascals and their pranks - he was a painter, draughtsman, poet, musician, philosopher and visionary. Folkerts shows the philosophical Busch in three letters to Maria Anderson, Wilhelm Busch's platonic lover; the concert guest experiences the humorous poet in the temptations of St Anthony of Padua, the tragic death of Master Zwiel in a winter-tempered rainwater barrel, Tobias Knopp's turbulent search for the right woman for life and the dubious advice in "Der Weise"...

Musically, this evening offers works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Phillip Telemann, Antonin Dvorák and others.a. (in parts arranged for solo violin by I.T. Folkerts). A wonderful symbiosis of drama, reading and virtuoso music.
