Guided tour on the Frau Holle circular trail

The white feathers on the ground show the way, your way on the Frau Holle circular trail. At 12 stations, this trail shows both the legendary and fairytale figure in connection with the town of Hessisch Lichtenau. The circular trail begins at the gate of the Frau Holle Park. The round opening is intended to symbolise a fountain and thus represent the entrance to Frau Holle-Land. The centrepiece of the park is the bronze statue of Frau Holle. Works of art by students from the Kassel Academy of Art are installed throughout the park, accompanied by bronze plates mounted in the ground that reproduce quotes from fairy tales and legends.

At the so-called carp-catching pond, works of art have been set up that were created by pupils from the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule as part of a project.

At Station 7, you are greeted by a sculpture made from 2.5 tonnes of Wrexen red sandstone. Wrexen red sandstone, the goddess Freya, symbolising love, luck and fertility, welcomes you. In the Holleum, the centrepiece of the circular trail, the four worlds of Frau Holle are impressively depicted. After further stations, the circular route ends at the fairytale fountain, the entrance to the underworld. The mounted sculptures show the happy children and the cockerel that announces the return of Gold and Bad Luck.
