Park Schönfeld

The extensive park stretches between the Kassel districts of Wehlheiden and Niederzwehren and Südstadt and forms part of the green connection between Habichtswald and Fuldaaue The Bürgerpark invites you to linger in the greenery and offers a near-natural ambience with several generously laid-out ponds fed by small streams. Old chestnuts, lush rhododendrons and an old tree population make up the special flair of the park.

A lake stage was built on one of the ponds and a natural stone grandstand was erected on the bank. Every year, this ensemble provides the changing backdrop for the Brothers Grimm Festival.

The park is freely accessible, dogs may be kept on a leash during a walk.
