Volcanic landscapes characterise the landscape in the north of the nature park, but why did they form here and why are the volcanoes still clearly visible today? The volcanic rocks were quarried for decades and the stone workers' trade characterised village life around the old quarries for a long time. Nature and landscape guide Ralf König takes you on an exciting search for traces of the old quarry operations in Güntersen. The 2-kilometre circular walk leads partly over unpaved paths and trails and is unfortunately not barrier-free.

Sturdy, sure-footed footwear is an advantage!
