Organ Summer 2026
9th Organ Summer 2026 - Heiner Graßt (Essen), organ
The ninth and final concert of the Münden Organ Summer 2026 brings an experienced and versatile church musician to Hann: Heiner Graßt from Essen. As an organist, choirmaster and teacher, he has helped shape church music life in the Ruhr region for decades and has trained numerous organists. His former students include the internationally active concert organist and church music director Kai Krakenberg.
Heiner Graßt is particularly known for his in-depth study of the German organ tradition and for his work as a concert organist. In his programs, he combines works from the baroque period with romantic and modern organ literature. His playing is characterized by stylistic clarity, musical expressiveness and a special affinity for German organ music of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The concert is being held in collaboration with the Gustav Eberlein Forschung e. V.. The association is dedicated to researching and communicating the work of the sculptor and painter Gustav Eberlein, who was born in Hann. Münden and was one of the most important artistic personalities of his time. The cooperation thus combines music, art and regional cultural history in a special way.
