Organ Summer 2026
The sixth concert of the Münden Organ Summer 2026 will take listeners to the Czech Republic: the renowned organist Ludvík Šuranský from Zlín will be the guest performer. The experienced church musician and concert organist has been an integral part of Czech musical life for many years and has made a name for himself in particular as an interpreter of the great organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach, César Franck, Max Reger and other masters of European organ literature.
Ludvík Šuranský worked for many years as organist at the Church of St. Philip and St. James in Zlín and is involved in both church music work and concerts. His programs are characterized by stylistic diversity and combine works from the Baroque, Romantic and 20th centuries with the art of free improvisation. Concert appearances have taken him to numerous festivals and concert series in the Czech Republic and beyond.
Šuranský is particularly appreciated for his expressive playing style and his ability to impressively exploit the tonal possibilities of both historical and modern organs. He has also earned an excellent reputation as an improviser and regularly delights his audiences with spontaneous musical ideas and virtuoso soundscapes.
Ludvík Šuranský is no stranger to the Münden Organ Summer: He has already been a guest of the traditional concert series in previous years and was appreciated by the audience for his musical expressiveness and varied program.
