The theme of this city tour is travelling and the city as Ludwig Emil Grimm experienced it during a visit in 1850.
Ludwig Emil, the youngest of the Grimm brothers, was an important artist of the 19th century. More than 150 years ago, he noted:
"The town of Steinau is very picturesque... wherever you come from, it looks good."
On the occasion of a journey from Kassel to Nuremberg, he created the "Reiserolle", in which he recorded his travel impressions and experiences. It is a forerunner of today's comic.
