Märchenpark Mackenrode
Since 2009, the fairytale park has been attracting fairytale lovers of all ages to the village of Mackenrode with its 265 inhabitants.
After entering the park through the large gate, you will encounter depictions of the fairy tales "Hansel and Gretel", "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats", "The Frog Prince" and many more. From a viewing hill, you have a fabulously beautiful view of the village and its unique half-timbered church. In the centre of the park there is a large oven that can be heated and used to prepare fragrant dishes such as bread, cakes or flatbread.
Children can also let off steam in the nearby playground. Right next door is the "Am Brandholz" restaurant, which is of course also waiting for a visit.
The entrances are barrier-free. Children can play and run around undisturbed, as there is no main road separating the fairytale park from the playground or inn.
