Weser-Therme (Weser thermal baths)
A special thermal world:
Directly on the banks of the Weser in Bad Karlshafen is the Weser-Therme, which extends over around 2000m² and is fed by Hesse's most salty thermal brine spring. The water has a brine content of 23 percent and is particularly health-promoting due to the high proportion of minerals and trace elements. It is good for the skin, muscles and metabolism. The large garden offers plenty of space for sunbathing and relaxation and a wonderful view of Solling, Reinhardswald and Weser. The lawn, sun loungers and seating area invite you to linger. In the thermal world, three pools, with water temperatures of 33-36 ° C and brine concentrations of 1.5 to 5 percent, promise unrestricted wellbeing. There are also four whirlpools, an outdoor pool with a lazy river, two outdoor pools with a 12 percent brine content and a lovingly designed parent-child area. You can relax on the relaxation loungers either in the thermal baths or in the gemstone meditation grotto.
Sauna area
There is a great variety to be found in the sauna area. In the small but fine Sleeping Beauty Sauna, for example, you can breathe the scent of roses. Hildegard von Bingen believed in the healing properties of precious stones. In this sauna you can experience their positive charisma. In the Saba mild sauna, peace, warmth and light are combined. Let the changing spectral colors work on you. The “Jacques Galland” boat sauna is an absolute highlight. Directly on the Weser, you can enjoy the peace and quiet with gentle waves. The steam bath offers comparatively mild temperatures, but a very high level of humidity. Particularly suitable for sauna beginners. After going to the sauna, you can relax in the relaxation room with a view of the Weser and Solling, in the winter garden or on the roof terrace. In the sauna garden, which is located directly on the Weser, you will find loungers and small seating areas. There is also an indoor and outdoor pool with 3 percent brine and 33 ° C as well as a whirlpool. A plunge pool where you can cool down at 9 ° C and the snow cave, another highlight in the sauna area, serve to cool off.
Massage and cosmetic area
Whether light wellness massages, medical special massages or very special offers such as a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Nui massage, a herbal stamp massage or an Ayurvedic massage - everyone will find the right thing for themselves here. You can also reward yourself with one of the numerous cosmetic treatments, which are also offered especially for men, during a stay in the Weser-Therme. It is worth taking a look at the wide range of massage and cosmetic products on offer.
The gastronomy rounds off the offer.
