Brink Dutch windmill from 1889 in Bentorf
From the outskirts of Bentorf, the only windmill still in operation in Lippe looks out over the hilly landscape of Kalletal and the Weser Uplands. Over a hundred years ago, the miller Hermann Ohsiek, who came from Ravensberg, built his mill at this location, which was particularly suitable due to the favorable wind conditions. The Dutch-style hull, made of quarry stones, was 14 meters high. The 10 m long and 2 m wide wings are attached to the top of the wing shaft in front of the cap. The wind rose, which was added later, replaced the original codend and today causes the sails to turn independently against the wind.
It has been a listed building since 1984 and today presents itself as a Dutch windmill with four louvre blades.

The mill can be visited during normal business hours on weekdays. Group tours can be arranged by telephone.

Directions
Hikers can reach the windmill from the "Weg der Blicke" via the "Trifte" path to Windmühlenstraße in Bentorf.
Accessible by car from the north via Vlothoer Straße and from the south via Bentorfer Straße.
