The Variety of Squash—Practical and Culinary Uses

Fall is pumpkin season. We’ll visit the Mühlhausen family’s pumpkin field and learn about the many characteristics of this berry-like fruit. Over 30 varieties grow there in the field. Weather permitting, we’ll help with the harvest (please bring small pruning shears).
Afterward, everyone can take a pumpkin home!

Afterward, we’ll enjoy a delicious pumpkin soup right in the pumpkin field, prepared by Katja Weitemeyer from the Landgasthaus Zur Brücke.
