On the trail of the Brothers Grimm through the university town of Göttingen

More than 200 years ago (1812), the Brothers Grimm published the first edition of the "Kinder- und Hausmärchen", which became a world bestseller. In 1816/1818 they published the collection of "German Legends" and in 1819 the first volume of "German Grammar". Reason enough to take a look at the time Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm spent in Göttingen on a city tour.

The work and life stations of the famous fairy tale collectors are the focus of this tour. The places where they lived and worked during their time as librarians and professors at Göttingen University will be visited. In addition, their roles as participants in the protest of the "Göttingen Seven" in 1837 and the resulting consequences will be examined in more detail.
The tour lasts 90 minutes.
