Buxtehude Museum
"Typical Buxtehude!" is the title of the opening tour through the history of Buxtehude, which is told in a varied and entertaining way.
The small art cabinet is particularly worth seeing, showing the views of selected artists on the Buxtehude of the past.
The permanent archaeological exhibition on the Immenbeck cemetery presents the valuable and numerous finds from the 4th-6th centuries.
In addition, the exciting methods of archaeological science are vividly explained via films and hands-on stations.
Not least, the diversity of the museum is reflected in the "Sacral Tower", a walk-in artwork
in which Christian artworks and their restoration can be experienced in the context of modern conceptual art by installation artist Michael Craig-Martin.
