The over 900 year old St. Martin's Church has been used as a cultural center for concerts, readings, exhibitions, receptions and civil weddings since 1995. Inside is the earliest tombstone of the Counts of Hoya.

The Martinskirche was the center of the Protestant Lutheran for centuries. Hoya parish. With the construction of the Martin Luther Church on von Staffhorst-Strasse, the old church was given up in 1967. Archaeologically, the origin of the church can be traced back to the 11th century. Today's church has been preserved in its baroque character (double gallery, pulpit altar) to this day.
