Spessartthron

Short facts

  • Steinau an der Straße

An excellent photo motif! There are seven fairytale thrones in Bad Orb, Bad Soden-Salmünster, Gelnhausen, Wächtersbach and, of course, in the Brothers Grimm town of Steinau an der Straße.

Oak wood from the Spessart forests was used for the robust throne. The Spessart throne was realised by the artist Faxe Müller (Jossgrund).

The Spessart throne symbolises the home of the Brothers Grimm and defies wind and weather. The throne weighs 130 kg and invites you to take a seat: for a short break or to take fairytale photos. You are welcome to post the most beautiful throne photos on Instagram with #spessartthron.
