Puppet theatre in the former stables of Steinau Castle

THEATRIUM STEINAU performs puppet theatre for children as well as for young people and adults; always close to the small and large audiences and using all of today's common performance techniques.

The artists predominantly prefer an open performance style for the productions, so that the players are not hidden. The puppeteer himself takes on a role and is therefore an integral part of the productions alongside the puppets.
The theatre stages such beautiful children's plays as "Michel in the Soup Bowl", "The Little King and his Horse Grete", "Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver" or "The Brothers Grimm" and "Der Freischütz", to name just two productions for adults.
