The home of Dr. Wolf's Wunderkammer, the Museum of History(s), Art & Curiosities and the Myth Studio Forgotten Creatures
The Thinking Rooms for Cultural History(s) in the beautiful three-river town of Hann. Münden are home to the small but excellent museum cabinet Dr Wolf's Wunderkammer. Here, scientific topics are combined with pop culture and history of all kinds to create a mixture of museum and Gesamtkunstwerk. Based on the aesthetic concept of historical chambers of art and curiosity, curiosity and enthusiasm are utilised here as an entertaining educational approach for the whole family. In dialogue with the extraordinary, the (almost) forgotten and the wonderful, the aim is to encourage visitors to become creative themselves and develop new ideas from old objects. Simply book one of the popular experience offers and go on a voyage of discovery with the doctor!
The journey continues on the floor above the Wunderkammer: the fantastic creatures from the myth studio Forgotten Creatures can be found here in a unique special exhibition. Discover a wide variety of myths about nature and household spirits. Goblin, forest goblin, brook calf and corn cow - their names are numerous and yet only known to a few people. New life is breathed into these legendary figures through elaborate and loving handiwork. This is how enchanting artistic figures are created, which visitors can discover in the Cabinet of Creatures. Or on a guided tour with the myth collector himself...
The Denkräume opened in spring 2020 as a project of the non-profit organisation Zeitsprünge e.V. Since then, the small operating team of artists and scientists has already inspired numerous visitors in a family atmosphere - young and old, from near and far, digitally and of course on site in the beautiful half-timbered house Radbrunnenstraße 17 in Hann. Münden.
You can discover the Wunderkammer and the Cabinet of Creatures in a variety of ways thanks to our varied experience programme.
This programme is complemented by regular special exhibitions and events (also outside the museum).

You will find us in the heart of Hann. Münden, within walking distance of the market square and Weserstein. You can reach us in a few minutes' walk from Hann. Münden railway station and the surrounding car parks. The Rotunde bus stop is directly behind the house.
