The Thinking Rooms for Cultural History(s)in the beautiful three-river town of Hann. Münden are home to the small but fine museum cabinet Dr. Wolf's Wunderkammer. Here, scientific topics combine with pop culture and history(s) of all kinds to form a mixture of museum and Gesamtkunstwerk. Based on the aesthetic concept of historical chambers of art and curiosities, curiosity and enthusiasm are used here as an entertaining educational approach for the whole family. In dialogue with the extraordinary, the (almost) forgotten and the marvellous, the aim is to encourage visitors to become creative themselves and to develop new ideas using old objects. Simply book one of the popular experience offers and go on a voyage of discovery with the doctor!
 
There's more on the floor above the Wunderkammer: here the fantastic creatures from the myth studio Forgotten Creatures cavort in a unique special exhibition. Get to know the most diverse myths about nature and household spirits. Goblin, wood gnome, brook calf and corn muhme - their names are numerous and yet only known to a few people. New life is breathed into the legendary figures through elaborate and loving handicraft. This is how enchanting artistic figures are created, which can be discovered by a visitor in the Cabinet of Creatures. Or even on a guided tour with the myth collector himself...
 
The Thinking Spaces opened in spring 2020 as a project of the non-profit association Zeitsprünge e.V..Since then, the small operating team of artists and scientists has already inspired numerous visitors in a family atmosphere - young and old, from near and far, digitally and, of course, on site in the beautiful half-timbered house at Radbrunnenstraße 17 in Hann. Münden.
 
You can discover the Wunderkammer and the Cabinet of Creatures in the most diverse ways thanks to our varied experience programme.
This offer is supplemented by regular special exhibitions and events (also outside the museum).
