Niester giant

Short facts

  • Nieste

A giant made of oak wood invites you to the Niester giants as a landmark.

The sculpture depicts a giant who is still ready to throw a stone and is enchanted into a tree by the mighty forest spirit. At the foot of the Sensenstein is the adventure destination "Niester Giant".

The Niester giants are impressive conifers of extraordinary dimensions. According to the story that surrounds the trees, it is giants transformed by a forest spirit that Otto the Quade had sent to destroy Sensenstein Castle. The story of the giants is illustrated on an artfully designed board on site.
