Tierpark Sababurg
Many visitors even think that it is the most beautiful Tierpark they have ever visited.
The spacious park with mighty ancient oaks and historic avenues was laid out around 450 years ago and is over 130 hectares in size.
Here, over 80 animal species and around 900 animals are shown in large, natural-looking facilities in a magical setting.
Predators such as wolves, lynxes, wolverines and otters can be seen live at show feedings. Large herbivores such as bison, elk, reindeer, red deer, fallow deer and wild horses graze under mighty ancient oaks in front of the picturesque backdrop of the Sababurg and raise their young naturally in their herd. The birds of prey air show is spectacular. Eagles, buzzards, falcons and owls fly majestically, as fast as an arrow or silently over the visitors.
The numerous contact systems are particularly impressive. The animals can come to the visitors up close: Budgies land on the shoulders. Kangaroos, goats, sheep and fallow deer eat animal park food out of your hands and pot-bellied pigs can be scratched behind the ears.
The Tierpark museum and the world of bees, including the garden and apiary, invite you to join in and discover with interactive stations. A 40-minute round trip with the park train gives you a compact overview of the entire park and learns a lot of interesting facts about many animal species.
In the park, the kiosk, snack bar, coffee bar or the inn with its regional and seasonal dishes offer culinary options for every taste.
Come by and let yourself be enchanted: an unforgettable day at the Tierpark Sababurg awaits you!
