This stage follows the familiar Weser cycle path again. In Drakenburg, a little off the route, the water adventure area "Wassarium Drakenburg" provides information on the topic of water, and the weir, the old village with the Weser Renaissance gate arch and the historic church as well as the Aalschokker are well worth seeing.

The route leads across fields and meadows towards the landmark of the Hoyaer Land, visible from afar. It is the impressive twin-tower façade of the collegiate church of St. Materniani et St. Nicolai. The massive Romanesque church building has a rich interior with a triumphal cross, stone pulpit, Lübeck altar and choir stalls. Five kilometers further on in Hoya, you come across a small old town where the dwarf saga "The Count of Hoya" is set, which is also part of the Grimm fairy tale collection. The dwarf fountain is located in front of the elementary school in memory of this legend. The former Hoya Castle sits enthroned directly on the Weser bridge.

The path continues to follow the Weser at a suitable distance, crossing it behind Oiste. Before Verden, you have the opportunity to get a beautiful view of the city skyline of Verden from a vantage point. Right in the middle is the imposing cathedral - one of the oldest brick churches in northern Germany. The town hall with its tower is also worth seeing, as it has a striking spire. Verden originally consisted of two towns, Norderstadt and Süderende. These were only united under Swedish rule in 1667. The well-known equestrian and horse-breeding town is also home to the German Horse Museum.
