Grandenborn poppy blossom
The pink poppy fields as well as Mother Hulda's summer colorful flower meadows have become well-known excursion destinations beyond the region.
The approx. 3-4 km long poppy hiking trail connects the fields and leads on narrow paths directly through the fields and to photo points. In the village community center, the exhibition of the winning pictures from the poppy photo competitions of past years is set up and the film about the poppy seeds and the region can be seen in an endless loop.
For visitors, covered wagon and shuttle rides with the tractor-pulled "poppy seed snail" are offered. In the "Teichhof", among other things, poppy seed products and Ahle Wurscht, a regional sausage specialty, are offered.

The poppy blooms annually from around the summer solstice, i.e. from around June 21, for around 2-3 weeks.
The green capsule seas still have their charm after flowering. Mother Hulda's flower meadows bloom well into autumn.
