Famous for his university and surrounded by over 140,000 cherry trees, Jacob Grimm has already made a guest appearance in the city on the Werra, through which the Werra Valley Cycle Path leads. A visit is especially worthwhile during the cherry blossom season, when Berlepsch Castle and Ludwigstein Castle are surrounded by a white sea of blossoms.
