Cycle north through Bremen through the Bürgerpark past the university and the Universum science museum.

Behind the upmarket district of Borgfeld, you come across the Borgfelder Wümmewiesen nature reserve, a species-rich floodplain landscape that is shaped by water in many different ways. Meadows and pastures are flooded in winter and serve as a resting place for thousands of migratory birds. In spring, flowering wet meadows enrich the natural experience. Skylarks, snipes and curlews can be observed up close. The Borgfelder Wümme meadows merge into the Fischerhuder Wümmeniederung. You can enjoy a relaxed and comfortable hour's ride through this unique nature reserve towards Fischerhude, where the Otto Modersohn Museum at the end of the village invites you to visit. As co-founder of the Worpswede artists' colony, Modersohn is one of the most important German landscape painters.

After Fischerhude, the route turns north. The so-called "Kratteichen am Holzberg" grow between Buchholz and Wilstedt. These are gnarled trees that have grown so uniquely due to strong winds, game browsing and barren soils and look like fairytale enchanted oaks. The route continues through smaller villages such as Vorwerk, Winkeldorf and Nartum. The old farmhouses in Vorwerk are well worth seeing. The remains of a large stone grave can be found at the edge of the path in Nartum.

From here, the cycle path plunges into absolute nature. For a short stretch through the wet meadow landscape, the path is left near-natural but still passable. Now it is not far to the stage finish. There are only the hamlets of Wehldorf, Wistedt and Aspe on the route before you see the town sign for Zeven. In Zeven there is a beautiful fountain called "Pferdehändler" (horse dealer) at the town hall. The town park and the Zeven Monastery Museum are also worth a visit.
