Find out what the diamonds in the ribbed apple wine glass are good for, how apple wine became a popular drink and why it was partly banned under National Socialism in Hesse's first apple wine museum. At Heumarkt in the center of Hanau, you can enter the exhibition via the MainGenussLaden of Kelterei Stier, which also includes two exhibits from the Guinness Book of Records: the largest apple wine glass and the largest Bembel in the world. We also recommend taking a look at the program: The Geripptes Museum regularly hosts readings or lectures and, of course, apple wine tastings. The museum is run by the non-profit association Apfelwein-Centrum Hessen (ACH), which created this "space for apple wine culture". Its chairman is Jörg Stier, owner of the neighboring winery and better known as the "Hessian apple wine pope".
