Art can be seen in this museum as well as historical steam engines and modern inventions.
A former power station with a bathhouse dating back to 1906 is now Großauheim's stage for exciting exhibits from the history of art and industry. The art exhibition features works by two local artists: sculptor and medallist August Gaul (1869-1921), a close friend of Ernst Barlach, who was born in Großauheim and became famous for his animal sculptures. And of painter and glass artist August Peukert (1912-1986), born in what is now the district of Hanau. His glass works can also be seen today in many churches in Hanau and the region, for example in the Friedenskirche in the Kesselstadt district, in St. Nikolauskirche in Steinheim or St. Paul in Großauheim. The museum also exhibits historical steam engines such as early locomotives and tractors. The "Made in Hanau" exhibition highlights Hanau's strong position as a research and development location with inventions from recent history and the present.
