In 2008, the Nienburg weekly market was named “Europe’s Most Beautiful Weekly Market” by the Lebgendige Stadt Foundation. The market is located in the heart of the old town. More than 60 vendors supply the market with fruits and vegetables, meat, sausage, and fish, as well as plants and baked goods.
