The fountain with its five figures, donated by the "Nienburger Forum" board of trustees, symbolizes Nienburg's reputation as a leading asparagus town. These sculptures are a monument to one of the region's most important branches of agriculture. Nienburg asparagus is a nationally renowned specialty.
